Professor Matthias Hühn

Matthias Hühn is a professor at the German University in Cairo , the Universität Witten/Herdecke and the Universitas 21 Global. He teaches Strategic Management, Marketing and Leadership. He is very much interested in the theoretical and ethical foundations of Management. His most recent papers dealing with ethics are Unenlightened Economism in the Journal of Business Ethics (2008) and The Ethical and Theoretical Context of Corporate Governance in the Journal of Corporate Ownership and Control (2007).

Professor Ehab Mohamed ABOU AISH

Academic Experience:

Head of the Marketing Department, German University in Cairo ( Egypt ). Visiting professor in George Washington University (USA), American University in Cairo ( Egypt ), and Arab Academy Graduate School of Business ( Egypt ). Published in a number of highly reputable academic journals including Journal of Marketing Management and a regular contributor to international academic conferences like Academy of Marketing (UK) and Academy of Marketing Science (USA). Teaching and research interests include; Consumer Behavior, Financial Services Marketing, International Marketing, and E-marketing

Professional Experience:

Active marketing consultant and trainer to a number of public and private businesses as well as governmental institutions in Egypt and the Arab region.

Noha El-Bassiouny

Noha El-Bassiouny was Presidential Cup Holder of the Fall 2003 graduating class at the American University in Cairo (AUC) with a GPA of 4.0/4.0 . She majored in Business Administration and minored in Psychology. She has received several awards for distinct academic achievement as well as actively participating in leadership seminars. She holds her MBA also from the AUC with double concentration in marketing and operations management. She is currently working on her Ph.D.

In 2003, she joined InterMark (prominent marketing consultancy in the Middle East ) as a marketing consultant, where she worked on several consulting assignments. She then set on her academic career

andworked as a teaching assistant at the American University in Cairo . She is currently a lecturing assistant at the German University in Cairo , assisting on numerous courses including Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Research.

Living in a developing country, Noha is working with several non-governmental organizations (NGO's) and thereby has research interests ranging from development to social marketing and educational marketing. She co-authored and presented papers on human development. She is especially interested in the marketing of educational institutions. Her current research interests are a blend of educational psychology and marketing.

Noha has a life aim of advocating altruism, sharing, peace, harmony, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding amongst different civilizations of the human family. For that purpose, she has headed volunteers working in organizations aiming at mitigating cultural barriers and clarifying misconceptions about the Islamic world and the Islamic culture including Bridges Foundation ( www.bridges-foundation.org ).

Noha cherishes family and family life since it is the building unit of a sound society. She is a happy wife and mother. She believes in the value of character education in raising a healthy generation and sees motherhood as God's love in action.

Soha Abou Seif

Soha Abou Seif has obtained her first degree, B.Sc., from the American University in Cairo in February 2002 majoring in Computer Science with a double minor in Electronics and Economics. Throughout her university years, Soha has received various certificates for her outstanding academic achievement as well as her participation in sound extracurricular community service charity and research activities. Driven by a passion to technology and academia, Soha was granted a student fellowship to pursue her studies towards a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo , which she obtained in June 2004, with a distinct contribution to research through her master thesis work.

Soha taught in the AUC Computer Science department for more than 3 years as a Graduate Teaching Assistant alongside her position as an Analyst/Programmer in the Academic Computing Services at AUC where she was able to develop a lot of web based applications that facilitated the life of faculty, students and university staff. This period made Soha realize that expanding such an impact to the business world could have a larger impact on our developing country Egypt ; there, she decided to pursue an MBA to get a better understanding of the business side operations of the world

Later, during the MBA course work, Soha joined the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) where she realized that the Egyptian government is realizing the opportunities behind establishing a technology infrastructure. Soha decided to move to the Management Consulting career, where the learning curve about business is exponential, and hence, the MBA would be complemented by a solid business experience; therefore, she joined an Egyptian Consulting Firm as a Senior Consultant to achieve this purpose. Soha is expected to obtain her MBA in February 2008.

Soha is an advocate of the impact academicians can have in their countries with their contribution to shaping the future of youth. She is keen on exploring all areas where technology can be of value in enriching and facilitating the life of people. She tries to utilize this area of expertise in every opportunity she encounters in development activities or business opportunities. Soha believes in change empowered by love to all humanity.

Mariam Abou-Youssef

Mariam Abou-youssef graduated from the American University in Cairo (AUC), majoring Business Administration, concentration marketing and holds MBA concentration marketing and international business.

In 2003, she joined Martec (management and marketing consulting office) for a year as a junior consultant. In 2004, she joined IMS (integrated marketing solutions), which is also a marketing consulting office, as a marketing consultant. Currently she is an assistant lecturer at the German University in Cairo . And she is now working on her PhD dissertation.

Noha Aly

Qualitative Research Manager

Consumer research

BA in Mass Communications (with Highest Honors); the American University in Cairo. Specialized in Integrated Marketing Communications and Psychology. Holder of the International Advertising Association Diploma.

Explored different fields like Marketing Consultancy and Marketing research and have been working with Synovate since 2001.

Her moderation experience covers moderating focus groups in different countries (Egypt, Dubai, Syria, Jordon Algeria…etc), in-home visits, ethnographic visits, shop alongs and other types of research covering the main geographical regions of Egypt with respondents that are representative of all SEC.

She has worked on different types of research; Usage &Attitude, concept testing, concept labs, concept clinics, advertising pre and post testing, package testing, taste testing and many others.

She has worked on numerous analytical reports as she enjoys in depth meaningful analysis that would leave clients with actionable recommendations.

She has been involved in wide range of ad hoc research; lifestyles and social trends, food & beverages, automotive, aviation, pharmaceuticals, hair care, oral care, heath care, IT, telecommunication, education, banking, family planning ..etc

Noha has managed numerous multi country projects in North Africa, Gulf and Levant.
